Desplegable: The Colonial House

Here we have a house that was originally built at the beginning of the twentieth century. The current owner, Chus Pérez de Castro, found it in the attic of an old colonial house. That was at the end of the 1950s and the artist, a painter by profession, and also a furniture restorer, decided to take on the task of totally restoring it.

The model was riddled with woodworm, had broken windows and was generally in a very bad state.

Special: Author Miniatures

The world of scale models captures what we have around us in miniature. Here, we have selected four different types of crafts and chosen pieces of work that represent each one of them.

All of these miniatures have been produced by international artists who, over time, have become veritable experts in each one of these specialist areas: scenes of varying styles, toy making, the beautiful art of working in metals, and crafting the most noble of materials, porcelain.

Collectors: Susana Llorente

Here are the latest additions of two new characters to the Pupis dolls' collection of the doll maker Susana Llorente.

Susanita and Pablito are made of porcelain and among their more distinctive features are their expressive faces full of personality, and their big hand-painted eyes. In addition their bodies are chubby with male and female versions, and their arms and legs have joints. They are an amusing brother and sister who, with original design clothing, are ready to hatch their next prank.

Step by Step: Toys Shop

Here we have a wonderful idea for how to convert a toy shop into a lovely frame that you can hang anywhere in your house.

The beauty of this little piece lies in its windows. Because they are large, you can see all of the toys and decorative objects on display inside. This is the perfect way to show off your miniature toys. Once hung on the wall, your toy shop will be a magical spot where you can display your miniatures, really bringing it to life. It is a wonderful place to be enjoyed by both children and grown-ups alike.
